Obituary for John McDevitt

John  McDevitt
John McDevitt age 70, of Sewell passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA he served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. John worked as an architect for Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He enjoyed photography, writing, and riding his bicycle.

John is survived by his wife, Teresa McDevitt (nee Jones), two daughters, Erin Briggs & her husband Brian of Mantua and Susan McDevitt Bridges of Mantua, six grandchildren, Megan, Sara, Emily, Julia, Madeline, Olivia, two sisters, JoAnn Foga, and Tricia McDevitt, and his brother-in-law, James Jones. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan McDevitt (nee Sullivan), brothers, Michael McDevitt & Joseph McDevitt and sisters, Mary McDevitt and Ann Dougherty.

Family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 11 AM Wednesday, April 1st, at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a memorial mass will be held at 11 AM. A committal service and military honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
