Obituary for John Henry Versland

John Henry  Versland
John Henry Versland of Mantua, NJ passed away on January 13, 2017 at the age of 85. Born in Stavanger, Norway before settling down in Mantua in 1948. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran, and member of the Mozart Lodge since 1960. John retired in 1993 as an Engineering Designer, having worked for the NY Ships Building Corp. in Camden, NJ, The Allstates Engineering Co. & The United Engineers in Philadelphia, PA.

John is survived by his wife Joan Mary Versland, (nee Palladino), son Eric C. Versland, granddaughter Kalyn Versland, brother Hans Reidar Versland (Barbara), sister-in-law Ruth Schomber, brother-in-law John Palladino and wife Patty, brother-in-law Vincent Palladino, nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9 am to 11 am on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Masonic Service at 10:30 AM. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, burial with Military Honors to follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or the Veterans organization of your choice.
