Doris G. Fuchs (nee Smith) age 93, of Mantua passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury with her family. Born in Calais, ME, Doris loved living, from fishing at the family camp in Maine not far from her birthplace to traveling and enjoying the many family events over the years. Doris was employed as a waitress for many years with Geet's Diner, drove a school bus for Monroe Twp. , volunteer work for Kennedy Hospital in Washington Twp and best of all raised 8 children in a loving home. Her health issues in her later years slowed her down a bit but by no means stopped her enjoyment of her daily music, TV and frequent visitors. Wife of 50 years, to the late John W. Fuchs, Doris is survived by children Doreen Sandy (Robert), John W. Fuchs (Esther), Georgia Marko (William), Scott Fuchs (Suzette), Thomas Fuchs (Barbara), Sandra Albaugh (Michael), Son-in-law John Flint, 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister Dora Mae Adams (Richard), many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughters Elizabeth Fuchs & Jacqueline Flint. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday. Final interment at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township at a later date.
