Lonnie H. Newcomb age 74, of Sewell passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Born in Halifax County, VA he has been a resident of Sewell since 1968. Lonnie retired from Cornell & Co. in Woodbury and loved spending time at the family cabin in Virginia. Husband for 54 years of H. Doris (Wallace) Newcomb, he is also survived by 5 children, Michael, Barry (Laurie), Travis (Laura), Keith (Kelley Dempsey), and Amy (Joe), 8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Presley, Jesse Z., Noah Wade, Rylie, Remi, Jolie, Rory, 4 great grandchildren, and his sister Doris Simon. Lonnie was predeceased by his son, Stephen, and his siblings, Nathan, Alvin, Mary Johnson, Alma Cusentine, Ben, Bruce and Wade. Family& friends may visit from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday, March 10th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM. Additional services and burial will follow at Newcomb Cemetery in Drakes Branch, VA.
