Obituary for John Franklin Howard

John Franklin  Howard
John Franklin Howard age 66, of Wenonah, NJ passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016. Raised in Havertown, PA, he graduated from Haverford High School Class of 1967. He earned his bachelor's degree from West Chester State College in 1971, served as President of his Senior Class and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, In 1974 he married his wife Kathleen and began teaching at Gateway High School in Woodbury Heights., NJ. John was a Wenonah Borough Councilman, wrestling coach, an artist & cartoonist. He loved cinema, books and was passionate about live music.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen C. Howard (nee Coleman), and his two children, Benjamin J. & Kristin E. Howard both of Philadelphia.

Family & friends may visit from 6 to 8 PM Friday, April 29th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua and 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday, April 30th at Church Of The Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at church. Interment will be private.
