Rita D. Giannone (nee Elverro) age 82 of "Oak Valley" Deptford Twp. passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born and raised in South Philly, she lived in Oak Valley with the love of her life Jim for the past 57 years. Rita enjoyed traveling to North Wildwood, her garden, and cooking. She loved family gatherings, holidays, especially Christmas which was her favorite. Most of all she loved her children, and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James M. Giannone, her children, James A. Giannone & his wife Patricia of Woodbury Heights, and Tony Giannone and his wife Maggie of Deptford Twp., five grandchildren, James Giannone Jr. of Woodbury Heights, Anthony J. Giannone of Deptford Twp., Valerie Giannone of Woodbury Heights, Nick Giannone & his wife Christina of Blackwood, and Joseph M. Giannone of Deptford Twp., and her sister, Sara "Sally" DeLosso.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 16th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Memories & condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
