My wonderful Nana was a kind and generous woman. I was so lucky to have her in my life for 51 years. I always looked forward to playing cards with her. When I was a little girl she would let me win. It wasn't until recently that I let her win. Even at 98 her mind was sharp. My nana was always dressed beautifully with her hair, makeup and nails perfect. She was a special lady! I could talk to her about anything and she would share her advise and opinion without judging me. Nana was also a terrific cook and baker. My favorite recipe was her mashed potatoes. There was never a lump. Her secret was mixing the potatoes with chicken broth. They were delicious. I will miss my Nana very much but I know she is at peace watching over me.
