Luther S. Starr, age 88, of Oak Valley passed away at home Friday, September 9th, 2016. Prior to retirement Luther was employed with VTEL Corporation as a Electronics Technician. Luther was a native of Central, PA. and moved to to South Jersey while in High School. He was a 1946 graduate of Woodbury High School, then served in the US Army 82nd Airborne as a radio operator. Luther then attended technical school and worked in the electronics industry for more than 50 years. Luther enjoyed electronics, gardening, woodworking and baking. He was first and foremost a devoted husband and father.

Luther is survived by sons; Anthony Starr (Sissy), Oak Valley & Michael Starr, Gloucester Twp., grandchildren; Dennis, Jeffrey & Brian Starr, great grandchildren; Kara, Anna, & Jacob Starr, he was predeceased by his wife Jennie Starr and 7 brothers.

Family & friends may visit from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, September 13th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM.
