John P. Olsen Sr. age 95, of Mantua passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at home. Born & raised in Philadelphia, he served in the Army during WWII. John worked as a Longshoreman for Domino Sugar in Philadelphia, and in his spare time, he loved his garden, enjoyed being outside and adored his grandchildren.

Husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Griffith), he is survived by his sons, John Jr. (Vola) of Franklinville; George (Linda) of Mantua; James (Valerie) of Mantua; and Terry (Donna) of Mullica Hill; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. John was predeceased by grandson, James R. Olsen Sr, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, October 28th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, where a funeral service will be held at 12 pm.
