Obituary for William Lewis "Bill" Smedley

William Lewis Smedley "Bill" age 90, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Bill was a World War II Navy veteran, former Boy Scout Leader, member of American Legion, BPO Elks, and Docent at Ward of Brothers Museum in Salisbury, MD. He enjoyed sailing, woodworking, boat building, carving, traveling, photography, and bird watching. After retirement he and Audrey moved to Crisfield, MD to sail the Chesapeake and enjoy seafood. Husband of the late E. Audrey (nee Harlos), he is survived by son John & Kathy Smedley of Mantua, NJ, daughter Janet & Rem Gonzales of Encinitas, CA, grandchildren Susan (Dan) Sullivan, Christopher (Ali) Smedley, Mariel (Shawn) Mahoney, Zachiel (Amy) Rodas & Alexander Rodas, great grandchildren, Jack & Daniel Sullivan, Abagail Smedley & Layla Mahoney, brother Lewis (Ethel) Smedley, sisters Virginia Hewitt & Helen Halm. Committal service for the family will be held on Saturday November 12, 2016 at Camden County Veterans Cemetery 1640 Haddon Ave. Camden, NJ. Contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice.
