James William Mooney "Jim" age 75, of Deptford passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at home. Jim served in the Army and was a Deptford Township resident for 47 years. He enjoyed fishing, dogs, traveling to Vermont to visit friends, painting, the Beatles, the Dallas Cowboys and helping others. Jim was a lifelong Methodist and a member of the United Methodist Church of Mantua. Husband of Joyce Mooney (nee Toman) for 47 years, also survived by nieces & nephews Melissa Houghton (Greg), Anthony Weaver (Christina), Russell Waltimeyer (Jennifer), Wesley Waltimeyer; great nieces & nephews Catherine, Anthony, Sophia, Jackson, Ethan & Elizabeth; brother-in-law John Waltimeyer (Margaret); and Jims' beloved dog Sheba. Predeceased by parents John & Geraldine Mooney and sister Patricia Weaver and her husband Tony. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 15th, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
