Obituary for William J. Nicholson

William J.  Nicholson
William J Nicholson age 66, of Brigantine (Mantua), New Jersey, passed away on Monday, February 27,
2017 at home with his family at his side. William, also known by his friends and family as “Poppy; Bill; or
Billy Nick, loved life. Bill spent his earliest career in the oil industry before finding his true love of
teaching, when he joined his “Clearview Family,” and began teaching history at Clearview Regional High
School. Bill enjoyed classic cars; lounging on the beach with his buddies; line dancing; and working on
cars with his friends. But most of all Bill loved spending time with his children and grandsons.
William is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline (nee Kane), his children Jacqueline, Christie-
Lynn, Bill Jr., Jennifer, Dominic, and grandsons William and Robert Dickson. By brothers Joseph and
Stephen and sister Margaret “Peggy Ann". Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Nicholson.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 5th, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051 and invited to join the family for Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 6th, 2017 at Church Of The Incarnation 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Interment to be private. Donations may be made to assist the Nicholson Family in their time of need and can be sent to Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051 to be transferred to the family.
