Alonzo "Al" Silveira age 82, of Mantua passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts he served in the Navy during the Korean War. Al & his wife moved to the Centre City section of Mantua in the 1950s. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, and the Boston Red Sox & Celtics. Most of all, he loved being Pop Pop to his grandchildren and great grandson.

Husband of the late Theresa Silveira (nee Glennan), he is survived by his son, Thomas Silveira of Mantua, granddaughter, Nicole and great grandson, Ayden. He was also survived by son-in-law Joseph Hyland and grandchildren Justin, Kimberly, Scott, Stephen, sister Eleanor and brother-in-law John Portella. Al was predeceased by his son Al Silveira, Jr. and daughter, Barbara Hyland.

Family & friends may visit from 9:45 am to 10:45 am on Tuesday, March 14th, at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street Mantua, NJ where a funeral Mass will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ.
