Obituary for Alan Thompson

Alan Thompson age 45, of Bellmawr passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from Deptford High School Class of 1989. He then served in the US Army during Desert Shield & Desert Storm and was a member of the 3rd platoon, Charlie Co. 1/5 Cav. 1st Calvary Division in Fort Hood, TX. Alan worked as a truck driver for A. Duie Pyle in Westampton, NJ, a job that he loved and in his spare time he enjoyed gallivanting with his kids, riding his motorcycle and reading.

He is survived by his children, Tori Marie & Alec MacDonald Thompson of Deptford Twp., his father, Harold A. Thompson of Wenonah, his brothers, Ernest H. of Deptford, Robert M. of Bridgeport, CT, and Harold of Pitman, his sister, Elizabeth Burek of Williamstown, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Alan was predeceased by his mother, Joyce Thompson (nee Jendrzejewski).

Family & Friends may visit from 7 pm to 9 pm on Monday, April 17th , and 9 am to 10 am on Tuesday, April 18th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 18th, at Infant Jesus Parish At St. Margaret's Church, 845 Third Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ.
