Dorothy Laverne Sammler (Feldewerth) age 85, formerly of Wenonah passed away Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. Dorothy, originally from St. Louis, MO, moved to Mantua upon marrying her pre-deceased husband Edward W. Sammler in 1953. Dorothy and Edward moved to what is now Sammler Street in Wenonah in the late 1950's, where they raised their family. Dorothy is survived by her sons, William and his wife Molly, Edward and his wife Deborah, Thomas and his wife Gina, 8 grandchildren Will (Blair), Ian (Britney), Cory, Danielle Sweiderk (Joe), Dr. Ashley Bedner (Mark), Eddie, Matthew and Erin and 1 great granddaughter Sophia Sweiderk.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Wenonah Cemetery in Mantua. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Audubon Society, 225 Varick Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10014 or American Red Cross, 5425 Rt. 70 West, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
