Pop:The greatest Man I've ever known

My earliest memories were watching Pop sitting at the kitchen table, stirring his coffee early in the morning and getting ready to go to work.. every day,7days a week..he took care of us, he made sure we had everything we needed and as us kids grew, I remember Pop being on the sidelines yelling at the refs or at the coaches during our midget football games.. I recall playing 1st base one year in little league baseball and attempted to catch a ball that was thrown to me from 3rd base and the ball went over my glove and hit me in the mouth (which acquired 6 stitches), he ran out onto the field as I got up bleeding and crying.. he says"you ok son" yea I think so Pop! Well he than says " Come on son, I taught you to catch the ball with your glove, not your mouth".. that is one of many memories, I also recall building something in the backyard being Pop's little helper and I must of been about 12 then, he held up his hammer and said "son, always remember this hammer can always make you a buck".. today I'm a carpenter ..he taught good work ethics, he was loving and supportive and understanding.. Pop was a forgiving Man! I have so many memories of him playing guitar, practicing at home or playing at the Lakeview inn..he taught me my first few chords.. and I'll continue feeling Pop in every note and every song..RIP .. I love you Pop! Your son, Steve
