John P. Buck age 79, of Mickleton passed away Thursday, November 2nd, 2017. John was born in Philadelphia & was a resident of Gloucester County for over 50 years. He retired from Underwood-Memorial Hospital after more than 20 years of service. John was proud of his family, his country, his God & his service in the Army's 25th Infantry Division. He was an active member of the Elks, the Army/Navy Garrison & the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Florence C. (nee Deal), children Jim Buck & Roseann Mike (Joseph), grandchildren Steven Wren & Lauren Buck; sisters Hazel Witzell (Kenneth), Cheryl Weaks (William), Clara Burkhardt. Predeceased by siblings Virginia, Doris & William. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11th 2017 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday. Private burial to follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ.
