Patricia B.  Gehring (Burns)
Patricia Burns Giberson Gehring, daughter of William J. Burns and Dorothy McNulty Burns-Reed was born on October 6, 1939 in Camden, NJ and died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Dorothy McNelis. Patricia leaves behind her husband, Donald Gehring of 33 years,
sons Kenneth (Shirley) Giberson of Media, Pa and Stephen (Michelle) Giberson of Shamong NJ, daughter Christina (Samuel) Salema of Port St. Lucie, FL, stepsons Donald Gehring of Mantua, NJ and Michael Gehring of Barnsboro, NJ and stepdaughter Linda Gehring Ranck of Hammonton, NJ. Patricia had 10
grandchildren, Natalie, Stephenie, Kahli, Domenic, Dalton, Samantha, Luken, Kenneth, John Bodie and Alice, 4 step-grandchildren, Linnie Leigh, Amy Lynn, Justin and Julia and 1 great-granddaughter Hannah (Stephenie). After graduating from Camden Catholic High School in 1957 she pursued a career as legal secretary. Patricia worked in the legal system for 35 years and retired from the Superior Court in Camden County where she was Administrative Secretary to Assignment Judge F.J. Orlando, AJSC. She volunteered as CCD Teacher in Mt. Holly Sacred Heart Parish and served as Secretary to Deptford NJ Elks Lodge 2708
Auxiliary for several years. Patricia was P.T.A. President of St. Stephens School in Pennsauken, NJ. Patricia and her husband, Don formed the Dancing Dee Jays and performed for 12 years at weddings, birthdays and pro bono gigs. The Gehrings moved to Ormond Beach, Fl in 2001 where they served in the Presbyterian Church Choir for several years. Patricia joined the Elks Lodge 2193 in 2002 where she served as Secretary to the Lodge for 7 years, Treasurer for 3 years and was Exalted Ruler in 2009-2010 and was awarded Officer of the Year. Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, painting and decorating.
A memorial service for Patricia will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday December 2nd at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, 202 E Mantua Ave, Wenonah, NJ 08090. Those who would like to pay tribute to Patricia may come to the church after 10 am prior to the memorial service. Interment immediately following at the Wenonah Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation (ENF) c/o Ormond Beach Elks Lodge #2193, P.O. Box 1355, Ormond Beach, FL 32175.
