John Paul Dempsey, Sr. age 51, of Sewell, Mantua Twp. passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Born in Woodbury, he lived in Sewell. John was a graduate of Clearview Regional High School Class of 1984 and worked as a Steamfitter for Local 420 in Philadelphia. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the shore, boating, fishing and working around the family farm. John was a master craftsman and enjoyed working with his hands. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix. John enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Michelle Dempsey (nee Faltenbacher), his sons Matthew John Dempsey and Sean Edward Dempsey. He was predeceased by his son, John Paul Dempsey, Jr. He is also survived by his parents, Ed and Carol Dempsey, brother Ed, and sister, Ginger. Family and Friends may visit from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday, December 19th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua. Services will be held at 8PM. Cremation will be private.
