Obituary for Ronald John Hunter Sr.

Ronald John  Hunter Sr.
Ronald John Hunter, Sr., age 80, of Mantua passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. Born in Camden, graduated from Merchantville High School, served in the US Air Force where he met and married Charlotte (Morgan) Hunter while serving in Scotland. In 1978 Ron returned to the states with his wife and youngest children. He had worked at Garlock Bearings. He enjoyed Pigeon Racing Club, Greyhound Racing, his fish pond, gardening, cooking, coaching soccer, attending events and cheering on their grandchildren, playing cards and Domino games, and watching the Eagles. Ronald is survived by wife Charlotte of 59 years, and their children Ronnie Jr. (Nanette) of Kilmarnock Scotland, Cheryll (Sandy Cunningham) of Ayr Scotland, George (Denise) of Westville, John (AnnaMae) of Wenonah, Mark (Diana) of Franklinville, grandchildren Ross, Ryan, Brittaney, Christy, Corrie, George, Andrew, Ian, Morgan, Laura, Gavin, Megan, Grace and 6 great grandchildren. Ronald was predeceased by his parents, John Russell Hunter and Laura (nee Morris), and by his brothers George, Kenneth and Dennis Adler. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 15th, and 9:30 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, January 16th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors to follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township NJ 08094.
