Obituary for Russell Massimino

Russell Massimino age 74, of Ewan, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Born in Swedesboro, he was a son to the late Daniel Massimino Sr. and Santina (nee DiBella). Russ worked for 30 years as a Maintenance Supervisor at Rowan University. He spent a large part of his life playing the drums for a number of area bands and was the drummer for the Greenwood Blues Open Mic Band up until his untimely passing. Russ loved high school, college and professional football and was a lifelong Eagles fan. He also coached football and soccer in Elk Township. He enjoyed cars,cocktails, cooking and watching food related shows. He also enjoyed vacations and day trips to Ocean City, Corsons Inlet and Townsends Inlet.

Russ is survived by his wife Sarah A. (nee Clark), two sons, Michael (Amelia) and Nick (Alexandra), 6 grandchildren, Dante, Dagan, Darien, Samantha, Jakob and Sarah, 1 great grandson, Travis, his sister, Stephanie (Ed), and his brother Daniel Massimino (Kathy). He was predeceased by his sister Rosemary Caple.

There will be Celebration of Life for him at the Greenwood Inn in Pennsauken, NJ on Sunday Feb 11th. Family and Friends will share stories and remember his life from 2pm-3pm, then party and laugh from 3pm-6pm. In honor of his granddaughter Sarah J.
