Thoughts from Eric and Denise Winter
November 4, 2009

Where John resided at the Lamplighter community are cul de sacs. We live in the last one and our home is right behind his. We shared the back, door to door. Often times we would talk through our screens of our kitchens if one or the other was outside. The first 2 years I (Denise) was a new grandmom and he came over in his santa suit for my grandson. We have 2 cats and when they were in the screen window he would come up to them teasing with cat noises. He was often concerned about my husband's well being with a terrible boss sharing any new job opportunities and when my husband got his CDL he hooked him up with someone's dump truck and allowed my husband gain more experience. Just like on my lips, God was voiced out of his geniunely. I can remember his shirts depicting his faith as well. The first motorcycle he brought home was of a Hammerhead shark because at the time we were supporting the band Hammerhead that our park manager plays for. He had emblems depicting his faith on that very bike. We are still at a loss trying to comprehend this, since he was so excited about the clothing ministry he recently ventured out with. Very outspoken.I am still thinking he is at work, waiting for the kitchen blind to be half up to show he had been home. I will always say...He had a heart like David.
