Stephanie Dempsey, age 92 of Pitman died Wednesday, July 28^th, 2010.  Mrs. Dempsey had been a resident of Pitman for the last 40 years.  Stephanie and her late husband Edward were the original owners of Dempsey Tire in Mantua which started in 1938.  She worked at their business for 67 years.  Mrs. Dempsey was a member of the Mantua Lions Club Ladies Auxiliary and Church of the Incarnation where she served on the Alter and Rosary Society.  She enjoyed traveling and adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Edward R. Dempsey Sr. and his wife Carol A. of West Deptford, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Dempsey was predeceased by her daughter Maryann Kuhl who is survived by husband Lester Eugene Kuhl of Pitman.  Funeral arrangements are private for the convenience of the family.
