Richard W. Parker, age 83 of Mantua, suddenly on Friday, July 30, 2010. Mr. Parker was born in Philadelphia, and had been a resident of Mantua for 52 years. He was a retired Insurance Underwriter who was a member of the Salem County Sportsmen’s Club, the Tuesday Group, and the Mantua Lions Club. He was an active member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, and visiting friends. Husband of Janet C.(nee Cloud), he is also survived by daughter Judith Rausenberger of Mantua, NJ, son Robert and his wife Ann of Katy, TX, grandchildren Daniel Parker and his Fiancee' Aubri Paxson, granddaughter, Jennifer Parker, granddaughter Whitney Rausenberger, grandson Derek Rausenberger, one sister Doris Kellar of Duxbury, MA, step mother Winifred Parker of Lower Gwynedd, PA and son-in-law, Ronald Rausenberger. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 9 to 11 AM Tuesday SMITH FUNERAL HOME 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Interment private.
