Esther Mary Ailiff, born June 20, 1916 in Philadelphia PA, died November 2, 2015 in St. Petersburg, FL. The greater portion of her life was spent in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Spiritually she was a member of the National Park Baptist Tabernacle and before that a member of Barnsboro Baptist Church in New Jersey. She had a passion for teaching children about the love of Jesus. Her occupation was a seamstress back in the days when clothing was made in the USA. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, doll making, reading, and crosswords. She was predeceased by husbands William Scott and Mannie Ailiff and sons Paul Scott and Fred Ailiff. Surviving children are Bruce Ailiff and wife Judy, Glenda Ailiff Conaway and husband Dick, Cynthia Ailiff Romano and hubby John, Naomi Ailiff Vogel, Karen Ailiff Oudyk and Bob, and daughters-in-law Georgia Hines Scott and Nancy Scollan Ailiff. There were 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Friends and relatives will be received at the Smith Funeral Home at 47 Main Street, Mantua NJ 08051 from 10 to 11am on Monday, November 9, 2015. Interment to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
