Obituary for Kenneth W. "Ken" Gormley Sr.

Kenneth W. "Ken"  Gormley Sr.
Kenneth W. Gormley Sr. age 79, of Mantua passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at home. Born in Camden, he graduated from Collingswood High School Class of 1957, and served in the US Army. Ken was married to his wife Jeanne for 50 years before her passing in 2010. He was granted a US Patent for inventing the Autosampler while employed at E.I. DuPont in Wilmington, DE. Ken also worked for Alpine Coolers in Duluth, GA. He was a bass player throughout the Tri-State area, and enjoyed bowling & camping. Most of all he loved traveling to visit his children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.

Husband of the late Jeanne R. Gormley (nee Gallagher), he is survived by his children, Debbie Radford (Tom) of Johns Creek, GA, Kenneth W. Gormley Jr. (Celeste) of Williamstown, Kathleen Chapman (Jim) of Mantua, Mike Gormley of Mantua, Jenilyn DeVries (Eric) of San Antonio, TX; 17 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his brother, Jack Gormley (Andrea) of West Deptford; and sister, Eileen Butler of Buckingham, VA.

Family & Friends may visit from 12 pm to 1 pm on Saturday, MARCH 11th, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua where a Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm. Interment will be private. Memories & condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
