COVID-19 Guidelines and Information
At Smith Funeral Home, we are fully committed as Funeral Directors and funeral service professionals, to take all the necessary precautions to preserve the health and safety of the families we serve, our community, and our staff.

Starting Friday, May 28, vaccinated individuals will no longer need to wear masks at indoor functions. We respect your choice to wear a mask if you choose, please be respectful of others choices.

Your health, your family’s health, and the health of our staff are the top priorities during this unprecedented time we are all going through. As each day goes by, we learn more about this virus, our staff are well trained and prepared to help our families in any way possible. Current Guidelines of the National Funeral Directors Association.
New guidelines have removed the social distancing and the requirement to wear a mask indoors. If you as a family request the visitation to wear masks we can certainly request that on your behalf at the door.

There are no embalming or final disposition method restrictions in place at this time. Burial, cremation, entombment, and donation are all permissible. Decedents should not be stored or held for future memorialization. Again, removal, preparation and disposition should take place in the most timely and efficient manner possible with all public memorial events, ceremony and services postponed until this order is lifted.
