He did it Everyday

I was hoping to share these thoughts about someone special to me - John Spadaro, my uncle & Godfather.   We all wish that the world could be a better place. Uncle Johnny made it that way. Everyday.   Selfless.    That's what he was. His devotion to his family and friends was unparalleled. He always thought of the people around him. Uncle John made you feel like family even if you were not. His caring way and true concern for others always shined through. He always looked out for me, my wife, and our three boys. I was able to thank him for that before he passed.     Passionate.    I really enjoyed watching sports with him. He was always so passionate. When we would go to the Phillies games he made the outing special. He would make sandwiches and iced tea mixed with orange juice for Johnny and me. We had a blast regardless of whether we were in the 700 level of the Vet (Veteran's Stadium) or not. I remember those times like they were yesterday.    Dedicated.   When I was working two jobs and had not had a day off in 6 months I could not indulge in self pity. I thought of Uncle John working three jobs to support his family. While helping him I learned that I hate painting and what catering was like. Even with all of that work he still found time for family.   No words will ever fully describe the life & times of anyone, especially someone so loved. He will be so greatly missed.    I know this: if there were more people in the world like my Uncle John, this world would be a much, much better place.
